We’re looking for a software engineering lead specializing in Ruby on Rails to build a new

software engineering team at the company.

About the team

Our current team consists of our engineering manager in our Melbourne office and engineers in

Kuala Lumpur. Both of our co-founders are also software engineers.

You will be one of the first on the development team and there will be enormous opportunities for

learning and personal growth. We're looking for someone who can set a high technical standard

as the team expands.

Technology

The heart of Influx is an internal product we call the People App. It's what we call a

socio-technological system that brings together.

Our system currently powers support experiences for our 1,000+ team members, spread across

12 countries.

The People App is a Ruby on Rails monolith running on a Postgres database. Using a simple

architecture and solving problems in simple ways allows us to scale to this size while engineers

can focus on work that delivers business value.
