Job Description For Cyber Security Solution Architect
This individual must function in a fast-paced environment, be adaptable to the changing processes and technologies related to the various Cyber Security especially Data Security and Zero Trust.
Responsibilities:
Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design comprehensive and effective cyber security solutions that address the organization’s need
Security Strategy: Develop and implement security strategies that align with the organization’s goals, considering industry best practices and emerging threats
Security Framework: Evaluate and select appropriate security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO27001 to guide security solution implementations
Architecture Assessment: Assess existing security architecture to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement, and then propose enhancements to mitigate risks
Technology Selection: Research, evaluate and recommend security technologies, tools and vendors that best fit the organization’s security requirements
Security Integration: Oversee the integration of security solutions with existing IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and minimal disruption
Threat Modelling: Conduct threat modelling and risk assessment to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate them
Security Documentation: Create detailed security architecture documentations, including diagrams, policies, procedures and guidelines for internal and external use
Compliance and Governance: Ensure that security solutions comply with relevant regulations and industry standards and develop governance policies to maintain compliance
Collaboration: Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers, system administrators, developers and product team
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with security solution vendors and ensure the selection of products that align with the organization’s security objectives

Requirements
Qualifications:
Professional certifications in Cybersecurity e.g. CISSP, CISM or related
Proven experience in security solution architecture and design, including experience in designing and implementing complex security solutions
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices and emerging threats
Expert in security technologies including Zero Trust, SIEM, IAM, etc.
Familiar with security frameworks, compliance requirements and industry standards
Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions
Project Management skills to oversee the implementation of security solutions
Up-to-date knowledge of the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies
