The Position

At Checkbox you will be joining a small tight-knit team of passionate, intelligent & driven people. Our product engineers are at the forefront of the business, paving the way for growth opportunities and driving outcomes across the business, and we’re always seeking smart & capable people to join our family to build a world-leading product. You will be contributing to a codebase built primarily on Typescript, React, NodeJS and Golang, and we encourage our developers to learn as much of the tech stack as possible. As part of a small engineering team, you will be developing end-to-end features that will have a significant and visible impact on the product and our customers

In this position, you will:

• Work closely in a small, cross-functional product engineering team with a product manager, designer and other engineers

• Work with product and design to ideate, discover, design and implement features and products that create value for customers while driving business outcomes

• Mentor, collaborate with, and support the team in designing & implementing high quality technical solutions for the Checkbox platform, including both front-end and back-end development, enabled by practices such as technical design documents & reviews, pair programming, code reviews & more.

• Adopt and exemplify a pragmatic software development culture with a focus on delivering value to customers while establishing guidelines & practices for high quality and velocity software development

• Champion and work towards a culture of modern CI/CD development practices, small changes, automated tests, frequent deploys to production and feature flags.
